Great place to stay!
Disappointed that I won't be staying at the Pinewood Cabins in Mountain View again. I will take full responsibility on my part for forgetting to cancel a reservation that I made 1 year ago. Yes, I forgot a 1 year reservation. But I didn't get a courteous reminder of the upcoming reservation or a call to confirm the reservation when I did not arrive as most establishment do. Needless to say my card was charged for a no call no show in the full amount. I get that. We're in a pandemic. Funds are low. I called to discuss the situation. The owner was unwilling to give even a partial refund. I guess return customers aren't valued there so I will stay elsewhere next time. There are plenty of options.
My wife booked this cabin. We were told it had a fire pit and a grill. The grills are in an old wagon, I guess you have to piece one together yourself. The mattress is older than me(60) the cabin smells. You either sit on the bed or at a wood bench table, only one comfortable chair in the room. The kitchen is ill equipped. Very Disappointed and misled in making the reservation! We have stayed several places in Mt. View area and this is the worst experience we have had. I guess the Cabins in town are better! Don’t come to the valley!!
Wonderful place to stay. Cabins are very well maintained. Always clean. Staff are wonderful and friendly. We enjoy staying here every year.
This will be my second stay at the cabins, and it was better. Our last stay was quite comfortable but the cabin we had this time was much more cozy with a quiet location. The cabin itself was clean and all the amenities were in working order. This has been among the best mini vacations I have ever taken and I cant wait to come back!
