For roadside motels that are pet friendly, this is pretty par for the course. We travel a lot with our dog and are always grateful for hotels that welcome pets!nPros: bug free and clean, bigger than usual mini fridgenCons: considering the higher price, and minimal amenities — not too comfy beds/pillows, stained linens, very thin walls (we could basically hear our neighbors on both sides and all the happenings in the parking lot late into the night) and the rooms could also use some general maintenance.
I was driving from Texas to NY and stopped at this motel for a rest one night. So affordable! The room had everything that I needed for a good night's rest and was pretty clean. The mini fridge was great to have to keep my water cold for when I hit the road again. I refilled my cooler with ice at the ice machine. There were places in the area to get food and a gas station right next door so it was a convenient location.
I was here last year..over the year the place went down hill. I am not sure id because of Covid. After driving 900 miles I was beat. I didnt really inspect the room. My first mistake!! There was no smoke detector I noticed in am then the shower ceiling was a mess. I love going to Red Roof because I travel with my dogs. I would not stay at this one again. Then in the morning checked the lock was broken.
Nice enough. Found someones potato salad in the fridge....and tub didnt drain well when showering. Water pressure was awesome, and hot water instantly! ~bug free, stink free☆
We needed a last second option for one night that was pet friendly. It was a little more expensive than I thought it should be, but considering they don't charge a pet fee, it evened out. The room was clean besides a stray dog hair or two, and the ceiling chipping in one spot. Bed was very comfy. A good quick stay.
