Morwood House

We found bedbugs. After paying several thousand dollars to stay here and a further several thousand dollars to prevent bringing bedbugs back to our homes, we are still left with little to show for it. Tricia screened our calls and refused to pick up, Airbnb was no help at all. For the last 2 nights, after we told her about the bugs, we weren’t offered any alternatives and had to sleep in the same bedbug ridden beds. The property was beautiful, but we left with our happy memories ruined. Super disappointed. Hopefully this gets resolved eventually.

We discovered and confirmed a bed bug infestation at Morwood House during our stay, and neither Matt, Tricia nor AirBnB have responded adequately to the on-going impact these pests had on our stay and our return home. Prior to traveling to Arkansas, we responsibly quarantined so we could relax and escape COVID. Instead, we experienced and brought home a new pandemic of bed bugs.nnWe hesitated to write this review; but despite having now more than three weeks to respond, Tricia and AirBnB have failed to follow their own policies, nor been active in helping us resolve a terrible situation.nnThe last days of our trip, we blindly dealt with bed bug prevention to avoid bringing the Morwood House pests back home with us, had to take days off work upon returning home to treat our belongings and homes, and are still in the process of preventing any further bed bug spread. Despite all of our proactive efforts and expenses to prevent the Morwood House infestation from becoming a bigger issue, it feels as though AirBnB and Tricia have washed their hands of us.nnWe have documented through photos, AirBnB messages and texts the incredibly disappointing and inadequate response from Tricia and AirBnB, have confirmed the infestation through AirBnB and professional exterminator evaluation of photos and physical bugs we collected.nnThe CDC and many public health departments provide very clear guidelines for hosts and hoteliers on how to prevent and respond to bed bug infestations, and Morwood House did not follow them. Be wary of working with Matt and Tricia Mowen unless you confirm upfront that she is now following public health guidelines for all of her properties.nnMorwood house is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home on 15+ acres located on a ridge overlooking round mountain and the little buffalo river valley below. It is listed as a getaway rental on Airbnb, VRBO, Expedia, BnbDaily, Orbitz and Travelocity. Branson, MO and Eureka Springs, AR, are about an hour away.nnTo view other properties owned by Matt and Tricia Mowen view Little Switzerland Arkansas.

A. Beautiful and picturesque spot in a stunning area! Hiking trails everywhere and rivers galore! Great house with a pool table and pong ping. Highly suggest this!
