We attempted to rent a room last night on our drive home from Florida. We stopped in a little after midnight, and the front desk clerk informed my husband that she could not rent us a room because of “system” updates from midnight to four am. They had plenty availability, but recommended we go another 10 minutes up the highway to the Holiday Inn.
This is a fine Hampton. Though the lobby is under construction there was a limited breakfast. Both of the staff members we dealt with were more than polite. The person who checked us in even called to make sure the room was in order. This is probably in one of the better neighborhoods in Pine Bluff which isn't saying much. Two stars for the town. In the future I'll keep going until I get to Conway. To Hilton, Hamptons in general could use an update. The breakfasts and appointments are subpar for the price. At least spring for the good toilet paper.
It seems like a nice motel with food and shopping near. A/C leaked and soaked carpet. The shower handle was busted and maintenance had to work on it. But the room was very nice. Also someone hit the fire hydrant in the lower parking lot. No telling how long it has been leaking. The grass in the median strip is dogged right out. No one seems to care. I called public works myself and reported it. The wasted potable water will be paid for by an increase in water rates for everybody in Pine Bluff but no one seems to understand this.
I do not recommend. The person responsible for setting up breakfast and putting the coffee out did not show up and the front desk clerk could have cared less. I'm not sure why she could not have at least put coffee and fruit out? I've always stayed at Hampton Inns and love them but I will stay anywhere but here when I pass through here again!
Stayed here before and it was very nice. This stay the staff was not very helpful and the rooms were not as clean as usual. Will not be staying again at this location mainly because of the desk staff.
