The Awtrey House

Spectacular! Rooms are gorgeous, with not just the bed but the bathtub facing the ocean (luxurious soaking tub). Your own private patio with breathtaking views. Within minutes you will be completely relaxed. The bed is so comfortable, and with the sound of the ocean and the cool air, you'll sleep like a baby. Short walk to the beach and a nice walk into town along the beach. And the breakfasts are incredible--fresh seasonal fruit, oatmeal pancakes, kale frittatas! Most importantly, Peggy and Dennis are wonderful hosts--so friendly and fun and interesting. We hated to leave and hope to go back soon.

This is our 3rd stay at The Awtrey House. Prior to this review, I had posted reviews titled “Absolute Paradise” and “Paradise Revisited.”nHowever, this time, I discovered one issue that I feel I must reveal. This time, I had something of an epiphany.nHere’s the issue, no matter what other local areas of interest you visit, beaches you walk on, miles you pedal, hikes you partake in...all of which will be absolutely beautiful, there is no setting more beautiful, more peaceful and no view more hypnotizing than what you’ll experience at The Awtrey House.nSimply put, The Awtrey House is as good as it can get.nEnjoy.nP.S. A perfect escape, the view alone is worth staying here. This top of the line B&B exceeded all out expectations. The Hosts, Dennis and Peggy could not have been more friendly and accommodating, including great recommendations about local adventures. The breakfasts were exceptionally delicious.

My husband and I stayed three nights here, and our stay could not have been more perfect! Dennis and Peggy were a delight to chat with everyday, the breakfast was delicious, and the views and home were breathtaking. Manzanita is such a charming town to visit, we can’t wait to come back and stay at the Awtrey house again.

I knew when I booked our three night stay at the Awtrey House that it would be a nice stay from viewing the pictures online. Our stay Exceeded my expectations. The view is breathtaking! The room has plenty of space to relax, The bathroom is amazing...it was designed so, you can take a bath elevated to be able to view the ocean. The wall of windows brings in so much light...just gorgeous. Dennis and Peggy are wonderful people. I expected breakfast but, was not prepared for a feast. The food was fresh and very well made. Thank you for an amazing vacation!!
