Had a few modifications to our business account, scheduled an appointment with a representative, had an appointment the next day. So far so good! During the meeting the rep was very uninformed and unable to assist on answering basic questions claiming she is not really specialized in business accounts nor familiar with commercial terms as she doesn’t have a business?... quite shocking hearing this and disappointing especially that I scheduled the appointment regarding a commercial account and have all of our commercial accounts and operations with BMO. She insisted she handles it and can help. I had to literally explain and correct the rep on a few occasions regarding some basic operations / forms that she had no idea what she was talking about! Worst is that she was actually insisting she was right on a few occasions. During the meeting, I wasn’t able to get clarification on a specific subject, I requested the manager. The rep instead went to see him or her which apparently claimed that my request regarding a specific program was not available and kept assuring that I am uninformed and should speak to my accountant. The manager never came in to talk to me and apparently insisted that I am in the wrong. I had to provide sources, message my accountant and inform them that they haven’t been updated regarding. Some 20 min later after finding further information on their end all came to an explanation that their system was not up to date after all and that I should follow up soon. No apologies whatsoever! It took over an hour to make basic changes, a gruelling 90 min + total experience for a simple visit. A laughable matter. At the end she couldn’t even complete the modifications on my account claiming that to finalize i needed to go see the general clerks and wait in the line as only their computer had access to whatever she wasn’t able to do. Unbelievable. So I took the line. Luckily there was a rep that was following up with people in line, filtering and asking if she could assist in a near by office to speed up the general wait time. That new rep took me to the near by station, solved everything our initial appointed rep was not able to do in 90 min, arranged and fixed everything in 10 minutes! All completed from across the office of our initial rep including the task the previous claimed only the general clerks could do from their computer. I usually deal with their main head office / branch in the old port where the staff is highly trained and experienced, never have I experienced such an unprofessional service in the 15 years + with this bank. Perhaps I got unluckily with the rep but the manager in service on June 05 afternoon didn’t even bother either to assist or fix the situation. The second rep, young lady who fixed all the mess in 10 minutes, thank you, they should take example.

Unprofessional and disrespectful staff. While I gave specific instructions to the teller, she did not follow them and messed up things in my accounts. When I caught the error, i had to wait in line again and did not get an apology for her error. Really disappointed with this particular branch because it is not the first time there is a problem.

The service here is spectacular. Very pleased with the service at this branch. The young lsdy who served me (vanessa?) Was very helpful and was genuinely happy to help. Awesome emoloyees!!!

Extreme unprofessionalism with extremely untrained staff. Unable to solve very simple requests. This is the second interaction with this bank and each time they only provide blocks without actually helping clients. Absolutely discouraged to be a client of BMO.
