CIBC Branch (Cash at ATM only)

By far the worst bank my wife and I have ever dealt with. Our original mortgage broker found a low mortgage rate through First Line Mortgage and CIBC took over their mortgages. The service at this branch is horrendous. They push you into using an ATM because they do not have any tellers. Most of the time, you enter the bank and have to stand in the foyer for 10 minutes before someone comes out of their office to see if you need help as they usually don't have anyone sitting at the front desk. We went in to discuss our mortgage options and the fellow we spoke to could not answer any questions whatsoever... he instead pushed us off to call into their mortgage department and gave us the wrong number. He then proceeded to try and sell us on other banking accounts and credit cards.

Visited this CIBC branch last Saturday for opening a bank account under new immigrant category. Totally impressed by the customer service provided by Bavneet Ji and her fellow colleagues. She explained each and everything very clearly. All formalities were done within 25 mins (including debit card issuance & credit card application). Would highly recommend this to everyone.

My wife and I have been waiting for a cheque to clear for over 3 months. We've gone to the branch and they have been absolutely unable to help in any sort of manner with tracking this money. We sort of need this money for rent. So it's nearing the end of the month and still no calls or anything. We've been doing all the calling. We've been trying to figure this whole business out. We aren't the bank. We shouldn't be having to check up on everything, we aren't supposed to babysit a bank. As soon as we figure out where this money is, I am closing my account. Ridiculous.

Absolutely terrible since they got rid of the tellers. I live in Beaumont and now have to go to Edmonton to do my banking. Who's stupid idea was it to turn it into an automatic atm bank only. You might aswell just put an atm somewhere and close the branch. It makes me want to change banks.

Lazy. Can't even get a hold of someone on the phone without knowing an extension. Staff don't handle normal banking needs anymore they just send you to an atm.
