Sharons Credit Union 한인신협 (Poco Branch)

I had heard good things from a family member of mine who banks with the Coquitlam location, so I decided to walk in one day with my husband to the Port Coquitlam location. With high hopes of opening up a basic chequing and savings account, I walked in and immediately the front lady seems confused. I have never once taken the time to leave any form of review online no matter how well or poor my experience is anywhere, but since I am still upset with my experience at Sharon credit union, I thought I would leave a review. I would like to first point out the 'kind' lady at front desk made my husband I feel very uncomfortable being there. It was as if our presence was unwanted, and that I should have left immediately. I work in customer service, and never have I been this appalled. The way she even spoke to us was very rude. At first she informed me there was a credit check, and that I would need to pay $200.00. I was a little confused because I have never heard this. Regardless, every credit check takes a hit on your credit and I informed the front desk of this. She then proceeded by telling me that's not true, and that it only affects my credit if I complete a credit check numerous times. This is also incorrect because I have done my homework. She then said'well if you don't want to pay then....' without even fininishing her scentence. I was completely disgusted with their level of professionalism, so I grabbed my bag and left. No apology by their staff was given, everyone stayed quiet. The reason I am leaving this bad review is because of how disgusted I still am to this day. I felt more like I was being discriminated, and this is coming from an open minded educated woman.
