TD Canada Trust Branch and ATM

I had the most pleasant experience yesterday. I usually try to avoid going in and online bank if I can (especially during these COVID times) however, I had something come up I had to go in person. I was very impressed with the way their new system works, you text this number with your name and it promptly texts you back with where you are in the "line". I dealt with someone named Tyrone?.. Starts with a "Ty". He was so pleasant to deal with, very polite and wanted to help as much as he could. Not to mention I was greeted both when I went into the bank and as I was leaving. It was great to have this level of service even with the stress that everyone I am sure is going through. I would not hesitate to go to into this branch again!

Recently signed up with TD for a basic chequing account. Received my debit card in the mail. The letter which came with the card indicates that my pin has not changed (I have been a previous client, however not sure if that's what that means it's not really clear), or to activate by making a purchase or using an ATM. Well I tried the purchase way and the tender read invalid pin. Always embarrassing. So I phoned them up, they advised I had to go in to set it up. Great. So I go in the next day, to this location in Poco and the teller (probably the same chinese girl indicated in other low rated reviews for this branch)  told me I would be getting a separate code in the mail, like the credit cards do. I told her it's a dam debit card and she was adamant on trying to convince me that I would be getting a code in the mail. Even though the label on the card clearly indicates to activate by making a purchase. Anyways, then she said I could set it up in the bank. Ok great, finally onto something here. Oh no but wait, now she's asking me for 2 pcs of photo ID, even though I provided 4 pcs including my online BC services card, which they weren't accepting. Since when does anyone require 2 pcs of photo ID. I mean I wasn't even withdrawing any money, I just wanted to set up my pin. So she went and got her manager, good thing she did bcuz I was about to ask for him. So he was asking for 2 pcs of the photo ID as well and I started to lose my patience as they both spent 3-4 minutes each annotating my account with who knows what and refusing to help me in a quick manner. They tried to make this very difficult for me. In the end I got my pin, came home and decided to read the letter that my card came with and it clearly says to activate by making a purchase!!!!!!!!!!! I might go back there today and put that letter in her face so she can realize she was wrong and she needs to learn how to do her job correctly. As a new client I am already wanting to go else where. I have NEVER been asked for 2 pcs of PHOTO ID for anything and I have never gone through such a hassle just to set up a pin for a dam debit card. I won't be going to this location ever again. Terrible terrible service. TERRIBLE.

I went through a mortgage broker and recently switched my mortgage to TD for my renewal and I really really regret doing so. Getting the best rate definitely doesnt mean getting the best service. I met with a rep once and they didnt follow up or return my calls until I contacted their supervisor after 3 weeks. Theres no ability for me to increase payments online without going through a rep, and they 'dont recommend' rolling my property taxes in with my mortgage payments because they experience too many issues, and that I should open a separate account for saving and yet couldn't provide me with a reasonable example of what types of issues there could potentially be. Where I had my mortgage before, I had the ability online to increase either or both my mortgage payments and property taxes, and not once in 5 years did I have any issues with my property taxes being paid. Until now. If I had known that there was that much lack of flexibility and customer service, I would never have switched. Needless to say they wont be getting any more of my business, and definitely wont be open any other accounts with TD.

Been here several times, never had any issues with this branch. Stuff is friendly and willing to help. Place is big and not busy. There are always many available parking lots in front of the bank.

Why are we pretending that less working hours is helping anyone, the people that actually work can't even go to bank because you close to early. Only reason I'm with td is the late hours.
