Bad experience. I needed a certain document from the bank. In order to make the visit short and simple I scheduled an appointment. Confirmation email indicated that it’ll be a phone appointment. On the agreed time nobody called. I sent an email and received a phone call 15 min after agreed time. The lady said she was expecting me at the office and the letter I needed is already prepared but needs to be picked up. I guess there is some internal confusion how the appointments are carried out. Simple call or email to a client shouldn’t be that hard just to confirm/validate. When I went to pick up the letter then she wasn’t wearing a face cover, gave me the document that was put together extremely carelessly and missed important points that it had to reflect. When I pointed that out she got angry, said that I need to pay for this (basically just to have an overview of my account balances) went to her manager, added random details without checking my account and gave it to and told to leave as she is ‘extremely busy’. I called customer support after that incident and asked why would I need to pay for something so basic, they said that this is not correct and suggested to go to another branch. Which I did the next day and got everything sorted. Seriously thinking about changing bank after that experience.
In my opinion, this is the worst BMO branch. The way they treated my request gave me the feeling that they have no intention to help the customers specially in critical situations. The tellers gave me the feeling that they do not respect the customers at all, they don't have time to solve my problem and they are not willing to help even if they can. Unfortunately, the branch manager supported this behavior.
