CIBC Branch with ATM

Took my lunch to get a new card. Was told it should work and it's not an option!?? Apparently the instructions on the screen required a call to support. The lovely customer representative informed me that right now it's a three hour wait and I should come back later. Why? So the three hour wait can start later? What? Then I was given the suggestion to use cash while the screens behind me blared messages about taping to touch less. As I said I was on lunch and since the bank reduced their hours, understandably so, coming back later not an option. When I signed into my mobile banking I was greeted with a fraud message telling me my card was inactive and replaced with a new card.....!!!??? So. No card. No access to my account. And an average 55min wait for banking services. A service that usually takes 5 minutes max turns into a multi day affair. Thank you

I am super upset with cibc. They refused to help my mom out while she is in quarantine. Unable to work for the next two weeks and counting pennys. Asked to wave the 20$ fee for the month because shes stuck right now and was refused by someone at this branch. You would think with everything going on that companies like this would try helping in anyway they can.

The best bank in town.

I opened a new bank account today with CIBC as I have recently moved to Canada. I just wanted to take the time to say how pleasant my banking experience was with CIBC at the Squamish Branch with Doris Benaficio (sorry if I didn't spell this correctly). Coming from another country and setting up the financial services to work in Canada can be a frustrating experience (as I found out with Tangerine) and Doris made it as a painless as possible. I also highly commend CIBC for creating a range of financial products that caters for foreign workers and makes banking so much more pleasant. I really hope that CIBC gives Doris a payrise or at the very least a bonus, to congratulate her on her excellent customer service.
