AVOID AT ALL COSTS Prospective customers: You deserve MUCH better, and you can get it. Take your money elsewhere or you'll regret it. I banked with BOQ for just over two years as a personal customer. Transfers are slow, the internet banking facility belongs in the 90s, and contact centre staff are uninterested in providing decent customer service. Getting hold of someone in the contact centre means well over twenty minutes on the phone waiting. I waited THIRTY minutes on hold with the contact centre trying to close my account only to be told I had to attend a branch, despite the fact that every other financial institution I have ever dealt with has managed to close accounts over the phone. Yet another example of BOQ's incompetence and unwillingness to join the 21st century.

I have been dealing with the BOQ Newstead branch staff for a few years now and have recently organised a loan through James. During the process, James was very informative and supportive along the way and we still remain in contact today around my current and future banking needs.

This is supposed to the bank you can love. Well if taking my money and not clearing the court action for monies recovered by updating the status so as to allow me and my family to move forward with our lives after being under enough presser prior to selling my home to clear all debts is supposed to mimmic having a relationship with a bank I can fall in love with well I say to anyone run . Run as fast as you can as fare away from this bank as you can. they care not for you. they will kick the living s--t out of you and not think twice. thanks BOQ for just forgetting to update the court status to paid. two and a half months latter and only allowing us to find out when a mortgage broker informed us after we placed a contract on a new home. You will never see this black duck ever again.
