The staff that works in the office is great. However I have written a letter stating all packages are to be left even if they don’t fit in the box. Everytime I have a package come it is never left. The mail person doesn’t leave a slip telling me they tried to deliver the package, they never buzz my apartment to tell me they are there to deliver, and again they don’t leave the packages like I have asked. I always end up having to drive to the post office to let them know I have signed a letter as they asked me to and I am told they will fix it. When I go to the post office to get my packages I inform them of the note I wrote and that there was no slip left to inform me they tried, instead it ends up in my mailbox the next day after I have already collected my package. Today I had a time sensitive package that was supposed to be delivered, when I got home there was no package and no slip in my mailbox letting me know they “attempted” to deliver. So now yet again it will sit at the post office until I can get there to pick it up. Very frustrating.
Phone is left off the hook a lot, almost every time I call in I wind up having to just drive in because they won't answer. Mail is almost always late. I track packages that say they have been delivered to Tioga but it takes 3 extra days for them to put them in my box, if they put them in the box. Constantly have mail for other box numbers and names that have nothing to do with my box in my box. It's like they put as little effort as humanly possible in to their work. Not only that but I live literally 3 blocks from the post office and I can't even have mail delivered to my house. Why do we pay for this service if they can't even provide the basics we pay for? I've never seen a post office, or any business for that matter, run as badly as this post office. You should have a zero star option.
I have never had any issues here until this year. Our package was sent back which it shouldn't have been. It was sent to our p.o. Box while we were on vacation so had I had a friend check my box for me. Our package was delivered there but instead of actually paying attention to our box number on it they sent it back. So when I asked why this lady, Marie (the manager), came up with the worst attitude ever. Said it's to busy for her to look up what box it would go in, even though it was right on the package. It wasn't sent to our street address but our p.o. Box. Pure laziness. Completely disrespectful in every way.
