I understand this job can be tough, but also it comes with responsibility. I had a Google Nest Thermostat delivered to me by USPS and the box said “fragile handle with care.” Come home to find out from my family that the postman literally tossed it onto our front porch. I just ask that they are more careful, as I really don’t know if the nest is broken, because I am not opening it. It was a Christmas gift for someone :(
I missed a package delivery on Saturday morning. Because I live in a locked building, this sort of thing happens more often than not. The office is closed after 12pm but I called anyway. They were VERY professional, nice, and understanding. They walked my package out the backdoor of the Woodhull location and I got my package even though they were technically closed.
Worst staff in existence, namely some lady named Mary. Take your business elsewhere and do not go here. Awful.
rude staff, didn't help me. even when i stated my name and that i lived in the apartments that have been next to the post office for years. he still stated that he couldn't help me until i told him where i lived. also just walked away and said there was no mail for me there on top of not even having the decency to say is there anything else i can help you with.
Being a postal clerk, as I was for years, in another state, is not an easy job. One customer after another and some are rude or angry and clerks try to deal with it as best as they can. Be gentle and kind, remember, they dont like the lines anymore than you do.nnI love my carrier, have had no problems here and there are always problems somewhere, i know, but give the USPS a break and work with them, they'll help, work with your office and clerks, they actually are there for the public.
