Last week I went to the Broad Brook Post Office for the first time in months. There was a very efficient and thoughtful young clerk helping me mail my package. She was terrific! Polite, professional and kind in her words and actions.nI live in Broad Brook and will have a smile on my face every time I go to the post office from now on!
The older lady with an accent at the counter is absolutely the worst. She has no communication skill and is highly unprofessional and simply rude. This was the second time I’ve experienced such unprofessional service and I honestly can’t believe she still works there. I literally live minutes from that post office but I will never go back and just drive the extra miles to Enfield post office because the women there are incredibly helpful and kind.
In all my life I’ve never experienced such nastiness . I brought in three packages, sealed and had a prepaid label. At the counter the lady asked me if I had any liquid or fragile stuff in there and I said no. And then she proceeded to ask me what was in it and I told her that it was clothes. Firstly, she said to me that they don’t have space in the box for three packages mind you they were the sizes of a medium usps parcel. And then she proceeded to tell me that, I shouldn’t be ordering stuff online if I’m going to return it! Mind you it’s not like I’m using her salary from USPS to order the stuff. I almost lost it but I kept my cool. Because I knew at the moment it wasn’t worth. She doesn’t even deserve to see me upset. I’ve always been a USPS customer and have never encountered anything ugly as this. This lady needs training on how to talk to customers because she clearly lacks it. I’m so disgusted and if I could give this review -5 star. I totally would have
HATE that I have to subjected to the belittling, sarcasm and unprofessional people at this post office. Someone needs to do an internal review at this place, fire everyone and get people that do their job! I went to pick up a package and was told it was not there not sure what to tell you, even though my slip left stated that it was. I called the next day and it was there and said I needed to pick it up because we arent going to call the carrier to come and get it..what?!! Isnt that your job?? They do not deliver mail and the post master Scott Ripley enters information in the system that states that theyve tried to deliver but no ones was available..how is this possible, its a mailbox. He is doing this to cover for his carriers who do not do their job! He told me this one Sat and forgot that he told me and when I called on Monday tried to blame me for not being available..well my mailbox..sounds crazy because it is. He is the nastiest and most miserable man anyone can encounter. He is suppose to be an example of customer service?? I dont understand why people get jobs in customer service and do not know the meaning of being friendly to the customers. Please close down this post office!
Just visited for the first time today. The young lady postal worker at the counter was super nice. There was no waiting. Being that it's right down the street from work, I'm sure I'll be doing a lot more business here.
