If you are ever wondering why the Post Office is losing money and has to argue for funding just step on down to the summer street Post Office in Stamford Connecticut. Rude employees that refused to help with basic questions or tasks. Anyone working the front counter on October 24th Should be let go immediately. Please I implore you terminate their employment and end their obvious malaise for every minute there is obviously torture to them and I hate to see such human misery on display.

I do a lot of online selling and have been using this one more frequently. I enjoy my experience. Can be very crowded and multiple times in the day but it is manageable because the staff move fast. Always one or two employees but they are efficient and operate as such. Satisfied with my service.

I had an overnight express package that was supposed to be delivered to my hotel by 12pm one day last week (Thursday Jan 16th). The package, which had very important work documents was late.... it was 12:30 and I had a flight out of LaGuardia at 2:30. So I had to leave, but I needed those documents as they had to be signed by client that night. A USPS truck pulled up to the hotel, but unfortunately this courier did not have my package. I explained to him my situation and he went above and beyond to help me out. Called around, finally got ahold of his supervisor. His supervisor was able to find the courier who had my package. Once he got the name, he called that courier several times until he got ahold of him and asked that he run it over ASAP. Within 10 minutes I had my package. Had he not done that, there’s no way I would have gotten it before my flight which saved my professional reputation and a lot of $.nnThis was a bad situation, late express guaranteed mail (not the local POs fault, it didn’t even make it to them until 11:45am), that this courier completely turned into a great experience. And ultimately saved me. I wish I had gotten his name so I could call out how appreciative I am. If a manager reads this and can track down the details, the gentlemen who helped me was delivering to the 06901 Zip, specifically the Sheraton hotel on 700 E Main St in Stamford CT. Please share my gratitude and I will do more business with USPS specifically bc of this. Thank you so much for going above and beyond!!

Under normal circumstances I would give them a higher rating, but yesterday I observed and experienced the USPS poor management and abuse of their workers. There was an unmanned front counter for more than 5 minutes, no workers on sight. Five or six customers in line waiting. One customer started to yell to get someone's attention. But no one answered. Two customers left. Another customer started telling again to get some service. After another 4 minutes a clerk came out and apologized indicating that she was on her lunch hour and the worker who was supposed to be at the counter had left. Very disappointing to the customers on line that this situations continue to happen. USPS management and top brass need to address these scheduling and personnel issues. There's always other options to mail and other locations. A more convenient location doesn't equate to more convenient or satisfactory service. USPS management needs to boost the morale and commitment of their workers. Generally, the community is proud and respects the USPS. But the wrong management decisions (or indecisions) are causing this quasi-private-government entity serious problems with repercussions into the future. USPS take yourself a self assessment and start to improve yourself.

Worst customer service from any Post office i have ever been too. They always want to give you a hard time about anything. I never had this kind of tedious service anywhere. The South Norwalk Post office is much better and the Fairfield Post office too. Stamford post office customer service is the worst. Stay away!!
