Lady behind counter was super sweet to everyone even though she was by herself and there was a line out the door...but she couldn't have been nicer to everyone.

I’ve been having poor experiences with this Post Office for the past year or so. I recently purchased an item that was dropped off at the post office by UPS a couple of Saturday’s ago, and it has yet to be delivered to my house. Why has this Post Office had a package of mine for almost 2 weeks, and not completed their job by dropping it off at my house? I should also add that this is not a package that requires me to go down to the post office in person. It is supposed to be dropped off via mail by the Postal Service. In addition, my mail carrier is the most inconsistent mail person that I’ve ever had. We never know what time of day we are going to get our mail. This could be due, in part, to our Post Office being understaffed which is understandable. However, in general, our mail carrier is just not good. One time, I saw him literally throw mail into my neighbors yard instead of opening up their gate and bringing it to their mailbox. Our mail carrier is always consistently on his phone. I’ve never seen him out and about without either being on a phone call, or texting as he’s going. We continue to receive mail that is not ours, whether it be mail that is someone else’s on our street, or mail for a completely different street but with the same number address that we have. I am constantly running mail to other people’s houses because our mail carrier doesn’t pay attention. I also saw our mail carrier recently post one of my neighbor’s information on Facebook. He didn’t post my neighbor’s exact address, but he posted about my neighbor in general, and the street that he lives on. I found this to be very unprofessional and almost a little bit disturbing as I would never want my mail carrier, or anyone in that line of work, posting where I live on the internet. My grandparents, who live several minutes via car ride away from me, have the same mail carrier, and have experienced the same problems with him as well. Overall, I have had issues with this Post Office in general, but very specifically, I have had issues with my mail carrier. I’m giving a rating of 2 Stars instead of 1 just to give them a little bit of a benefit of the doubt.

My carrier is great but when he’s off I don’t receive any mail. I had addressed this issue with the post master numerous times to no avail. It’s basic management failure as she cannot accomplish a simple task. Talks a lot but no action. #managementfailure101

Always busy and usually don’t bring out extra people. They insist that packages that would be left by ups or fedex be picked up at the post office.

I lived up and down the entire Eastcoast. This PO is by far the absolute worst one. I could write a book about everything that's happened to me over the years with them. And don't ever call with any questions because they either lie, don't know what they're talking about, or just tell you anything to get you off the phone or out the door. All surrounding PO's in the area are great. Friendly all around, on time, always go out of their way to fix problems. This place? NOPE. Goodluck with your mail and packages in Pittston. Especially if you're a rural route. The pits in Pittston. Scraping the bottom of the barrel of the USPS.
