I was told by USPS customer service that my package was being held at the Springfield Post Office (the 1138 Baltimore Pike address), and after waiting 20 minutes in line the attendant rudely told me they don't hold packages. I calmly responded stating that I spoke with the district office and they had informed me it was being held at this office (I repeated the full address they gave me) and I could get it, to which she pulls her face mask down and starts angrily telling me I have no idea what I'm talking about and that she would not go look for it. Absolute gross behavior from a very unprofessional person. The next day I received a notification saying my package had been returned to sender that morning, meaning it was still at the post office when I visited. Extremely frustrating.
No social distancing. At all. Dangerous and disgraceful for a federal location. Just went in to drop a package and there were at least 15 people inside, w at least 5 crowded in the tiny first room.
I truly think they should have more then 1 teller I stood in line for almost 25 minutes smh
During these times of what is going on with this virus, you would think that the USPS would be more accommodating. If I am writing you a letter posted on my door with my signature and IN THE INSTRUCTIONS of redelivery to leave the package, you leave the package. I now just had to go into this facility to pick up my package while there is 7 other people in this small office. Not only was the person who called me to tell me to pick up extremely RUDE, you just put my life and other people I come in contact with in danger as well. Way to go USPS.
Horrible I was trying to call regarding a package that never came and the person just rudely hanged up on me when I was trying to ask her my question I would give this location zero stars
