I have had a lost piece of important state mail for nearly a month now. I’ve reported it twice and haven’t heard a word. This mail was sent to me via email as being “delivered soon” with a photo and I’ve yet to receive it. If you’re waiting on important documents definitely watch this office.
I’m not really sure how the overall Google rating of this post office is above 1-star, truly. I’ve never had a positive experience with anything here - mailing services, deliveries, or in person customer service. I’ve had multiple packages with tracking information say “out for delivery” only to have it change a few hours later to “available for pickup in Monroeville” WITHOUT the option to actually pick it up (made a special trip there to be told that the package would be “redelivered the next day” and that I could not have it at that time). I’m currently facing the same issue, and have been trying to call the physical location (on a number I’ve had success with a few weeks prior) with no luck. The phone just rings until I’m disconnected. If I could give this post office zero stars, I absolutely would. If you can avoid using this facility, do it.
Awful experience. Was told I’d need photo ID (understandable) AND a business card proving I worked where I had the package sent even though the package is in my name and I’m wearing my uniform from work. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
If you can use a different post office, it’s worth a few extra min drive. They marked a package as arrived, it had not so I went in to check on it. They told me it had the correct address on it but was given to the wrong house on a street near by. They said they would try to retrieve it and when I followed up the manager wasn’t helpful at all. Knowing it was not the shippers fault he wants me to file a claim with them. It’s a small shop, so that doesn’t seem right, so I’m just taking the loss. He was upset that the workers at the front desk told me that it was delivered to the wrong address and said that as a customer I have no right to that information. I use the post office several times a week to send packages, the ladies I always see at the front are so sweet but as far as management.. I’ve never had anybody care less.
I've used this location many times over the years without incident. Waits can be long at times, but that's with any post office. Most of the employees are efficient, knowledgeable, and friendly.
