I WENT IN HERE TODAY 9-29-20 FOR THE FIRST TIME TO MAIL MY EX-LOVER BIRTHDAY CARD OUT & BUY A STAMPED ENVELOPE THE FEMALES EMPLOYEES WAS VERY NICE & HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY THING TO ME .
An employee went above and beyond to reserve my PO Box and someone called me after-hours to inform me of a hiccup with my reservation. They could have made me start the process over but they were accommodating and understanding. I felt personally valued by them unexpectedly going out of their way with their customer service.
The mail clerks are friendly and helpful but the line is almost always so long here
I came in on a Sat forgetting about the farmers market with several large (medium size Home Depot boxes that weighted 30+ pounds) international bound boxes due to a time crunches move overseas. Only 2 people on staff and I felt bad as there were several people in line so I suggested maybe I could come back on a Monday but the employee talked me out of it and patiently set me up for all my parcels. They are very nice here and patient so I commend them both. I mistakenly left my dolly in the lobby and they put it aside and called me back to let me know ! Lake Merritt residents are lucky to have this post office !
There's a lady who works behind the counter who will absolutely make everything ok in your life even if you've been waiting hours for service. It's contagious. Now all the other staff are kind, helpful and go out of their way to connect. It's like some throwback to the 70's.. best Post office in town!
