I'm not really sure why there are so many negative reviews of this place. I had a pretty pleasant experience and I went at a busy time. There was a woman directing people to a separate paying station to quicken the process and the woman that helped me was really friendly. I was hesitant to come here because of the negative reviews, but figured I'd give it a chance and I'm glad I did. If I need to ship something again, I'll be happy to come back.
I have never had a problem accomplishing tasks at this post office. I love the self service machine to send packages. Staff has been fine. Sometimes there is a long wait. For everyone leaving 1 star reviews- Folks are impatient and don't read rules. Those post workers generally work 6 days a week and deal with difficult people. If you don't like the system VOTE to fix it, stop whining about individuals and be a part of the solution.
I LOVE our post office--both the one on 4th Avenue and the one in Columbia City. Where else can you get things delivered so inexpensively. Please understand they do NOT lose money but are required by Congress to pre-fund their retirement plan--unlike any other federal agency--which has created a fiscal nightmare for them. I have never had an impolite person at either of these branches--I cannot imagine how our lives would be changed without them.
Rhonda is the worst USPS employee that I had ever seen. Very rude and unprofessional.
It's a convenient location. Service is average, but I get what I need. Usually not too crowded. Better than Westwood Village branch. Burien branch is about the same as this branch.
