I’m an Appalachian Trail thu-hiker and I went in on 2/29. They could not have been better as I picked up two packages and set one and three postcards. They take care of hikers. Great job post office!!!
As an Appalachian Trail thru-hiker this was the worst post office from Maine to Georgia, the staff is combative against thru-hikers forwarding or “bouncing” any package to another post office anymore than one time, which I never experienced or even heard of from any other post office on the trail.nnThe best part is one of my boxes got forwarded to Dahlonega and the Hiawassee post office wrote postage due on the box, that Post Office told me this was incorrect and did not charge me. My second box was sent back Return to Sender (RTS) per my request, they additionally wrote postage due on a RTS box which is a joke, my local post office disregarded this and delivered directly to the return address.
