I've lived in Winding Lakes subdivision off of Lickskillet Rd for the last 11 years with my family and up until the last year we haven't really had many problems with the postal service. The last couple of months have been extremely aggravating.nnThere have been days in which our mail has been delivered to some of our neighbors and some days we get their mail. I don't trust them so I usually just take the mail to my neighbors myself when this happens; however, it's been enough to notice a pattern.nnFurthermore, we've had several times in which we do not get mail on Monday and then things show up on Tuesday. I have also recently had issues with getting some deliveries of my Amazon packages. They will tell me that it's expected to show up in two days; however, most of the time on the day it's supposed to be delivered, I will see a notification on Amazon stating that they attempted to deliver mail to me and I wasn't available. This is a lie because I work from home and someone from my family is always in this house. Most recently, they were supposed to deliver a package and claimed on Amazon's site that they couldn't put it in the mailbox. Why the hell would you try to put a big box in the mailbox when there's plenty of space on the porch. They then stick a notice in my mailbox two days later that says I have to come pick it up from the post office because it's too big to lift. Their service has been absolutely atrocious and they need to do better than this!

After the local carrier backed over my mailbox and refused to reimburse costs to repair it, the new post master decided it was best for all mailboxes to be at the main road like a trailer park, even though I live in a small subdivision. She deemed the road to not be travel able even though many people travel it everyday. She also lied and stated that previously one of her carriers had blown a tire on the road. I was born and raised here and the roads are gravel but we have never had any issues until the new post master arrived. Due to our conflict there are packages that I don’t even receive nor am I even notified of their arrival. The other day I saw a mail lady delivering a package to another house of a resident that recently moved here. They drove all the way down my road, pulled into the driveway right next to my home, and then backed out, which is another issue the post master told me carriers weren’t allowed to do. To me it just seems too ironic to have a black post master, carrier and resident and they deliver to them but not me, of course that discussion is a one way topic either way. I really hope President Trump doesn’t pass the proposed stimulus, then the USPS won’t be funded any longer and will have to privatize. By September their funds will be depleted. Oh, had another package that my email stated would be here today but is now being shipped back to sender. If we get a chance to vote for privatizing the USPS, vote yes and maybe we will have some changes.

Half the time we don’t get mail on Monday and never after a holiday. Packages say out for delivery first day, next day held at post office per customers request. I don’t know what customer asked for it to be held, but it wasn’t me. We live off Lick Skillet Rd which is Fortson, no idea why Hamilton delivers our mail. It seems like our subdivision is not a priority and if no delivery person no mail.

I would give a negative 5 if I could. Absolutely terrible! We never had any issues prior to moving back to Harris County. 30% of our packages are delivered, 70% I have to drive to Hamilton to pickup. Consistently get “unfortunately we ran into an issue”, or “failed delivery attempt” when I work at home and sure not one has tried to deliver anything. Given the opportunity use ups. Outside the water department’s antiquated system this is the only issue I’ve had with the area.

Very hard to believe these geniuses can't go eat lunch separately. Make the trip to fedex or ups for better service
