Since Covid a lot has changed. I went into this post office Monday and was greeted by the rudest, most condescending worker. I was next in line. She shouts loudly, “I can help whomever is next if they are completely ready!” I told her I am ready and I just need the labels taped on. I’ve gone here before and the worker taped them on for me. This time Ms. Rude said I had to purchase tape and do it myself. That really was no issue. It was her curt tone and nasty demeanor that threw me off. So the next person comes up and she’s just as pleasant as she can be to them after being nasty towards me. I let her know how rude she was and of course I got a lazy I’m sorry you feel that way to which I agreed...she was sorry! If you don’t know how to address the public please go to the back and sort mail! But please don’t think you can be rude and not get called on it. It take zero effort to be pleasant and professional. She picked the wrong one yesterday.

I usually have a mostly positive experience with this place, however, there was a pretty sour experience I had while picking up one of my packages. When I went to pick up my package from the post office, one of the workers was very rude to me. She kept saying that I must be 18 years old in order to pick up my package. I was 17 at the time and I had my driver license which clearly had the address and the exact name on the package. I told her this information, however, she was not having it. I ended up having to convince my parents to leave work in order to put up with this farce. I did some research and found out that you indeed do not have to be 18 in order to pick up your package. As long as you have a government issued ID with proof that the package does indeed belong to you. The shipping itself was extremely stressful due to the high value of the package and putting up with this rude lady did not help matters. I will be rating this post office 3 stars due to the numerous positive experiences I did have.

This post office has lost and misplaced my mail several times. I go to the post office to ask questions with my tracking number and its always the driver will check. I never received my packages because the driver put my mail in someone else’s box. Horrible. Repeated lack of responsibility and carelessness. And good luck filing a claim. ud83dude24ud83eudd2c

Go to Colonial Heights if you can. This store is a mess (no/low supplies, misplaced items) and the staff are not helpful. One pranced around with my package because it had regular tape, not shipping tape; both the tape and Priority shipping box were behind the counter, so you'd have to wait in line to pack and label. There is a sign instructing you to have your package packed and labeled before you get in line, though. Another representative did not accurately describe the best ways to ship a package. This costs time, money, insurance and possibly seller reputation. The entrance is crowded, thanks in part to Chick Fil A traffic and the exit is dangerous due to no stoplights at the busy intersection. On a brighter note, they've stamps - fruits or flags, lol...

I went into this post office today to send a simple letter by priority mail. There was about 15-20 people waiting and one person at the desk. I looked at the designated priority station for a flat flat rate envelope and there was none. After waiting in line for at least 15 minutes I finally was within view of the service desk. I could hear the person at the window asking about the 3 yellow slips she had received. The person left the window to go ask about the notices while the rest of us continued to wait for our turn. She came back with a large box and hoisted it up on the counter. The person complained that it looked heavy while asking about the other notices. The UPS employee turned to a passing employee (who couldn’t see how long the line was) and asked if there were more packages associated with the notices. Without looking at the notices he told her they were probably duplicates. At that point he turned and saw the long line so he nonchalantly went to open another window. He began helping the others ahead of me and helped 3 people before I reached the window. Meanwhile the lady at the window beside him was still talking to the same person about the yellow notices regarding whether or not there were more packages for those notices. By then I was really annoyed with the ridiculous wait time. I asked about a priority flat rate envelope with a return receipt with no insurance and I was given a priority flat rate envelope with insurance. I told him I didn’t need all that since I just wanted to send it priority. The clerk informed me that that was the only envelope last they had. Needless to say the post office was out of most of the supplies. I feel like there should always be a certain amount of stock on hand at the post office and that should be their standard. UPS needs to step their game up. Their customer service skills are in the toilet and I would not give any stars if that were possible. There was no sanitizer was available and very overcrowded.
