Twice, packages have been returned to sender because “it could not be delivered as addressed”. The reason? Because my address is located on “state road” and therefore has two addresses available. BOTH of which there are LITERAL road signs for and I have received packages from Amazon and UPS using the state road address (since it is actually the first address that pops up when searching for my address). When I called to speak with someone the first time they said it couldn’t be delivered because “it was just a bunch of numbers”... When I informed them that it was addressed to me using the state road name rather than the “normal” road name but both are valid I was just told they can’t deliver it to the state road address because it doesn’t show up for them. I have given my address to friends and family and they have had absolutely no issues using google maps, MAPS on their iPhone, map quest - basically anything - and finding my house.
I am always greeted professionally and personally if I choose that direction. Yes, mail gets mishandled here more often than in the Midwest; however, it is as competent as any post office in the South. I don’t like the fee schedule, but it is much more affordable and convenient than delivering my own mail. I am thankful we have a small town post office. Most people think these are federal government jobs, but this is untrue. Google the postal service and research just how amazing it is. In the mean time enjoy the convenience of having a local post office... it is a privilege!
It's true you can't please everyone. This has been my post office for more than 30 years and I've never had a serious issue.

Loved this experience! How often can you say that at a post office? Staff was so helpful and helped me find the quickest cheapest way to mail my package. So kind! Very quick service too
