Never had a problem at the Madison post office. Staff know local residents and will put mail in the right box every time. Hardly ever a line and they always have a good selection of stamps on hand. Much better than the larger city post offices.
Its the carriers. I live on Oak Park Rd and your carrier will not close my mailbox. My mail is constantly wet from the rain. I had a check that had gotten wet. Just take a few extra seconds and close the mailbox.
This post office is the best!!! I went there to get my passport and was in and out in no time at all, no waiting and super nice!! Also I did not expedite my passport but it was delivered within 2 weeks of my appointment.nAnd although my postman is not part of this office my postage delivery people are also the best! USPS rocks!!!

Went on a Saturday for passport services; it was very quick and easy. The employee working the counter was very friendly and helpful.
