I continue to ask neighbors if I'm living in Central America.nnI've lived on the west coast, the east coast and four spots in between. I have never, ever encountered greater incompetence than with the USPS in one Charlottesville, VA.nnThere are weeks where they only deliver mail ONCE. I can't even comprehend that.nnNever an explanation as to why the carriers just vanish like a fart in the wind, but it's not a good situation when you actually rely on the postal service for employment and personal services.nnI think I'll spend $40 to have FedEx send my tax return information to my accountant in Illinois. Maybe I should go read their reviews and see if they s_ck at their job, too.
They lose your mail. Then, they make you wait in line forever to see if they can try to find your mail that they lost. What a wonderful service. USPS should just be canned and replaced with a private service.
Horrible unhelpful argumentative staff. Visibly become upset when asked to do their jobs and seem to enjoy making every visit there as slow and inconvenient as possible
Two counter employees were not wearing masks. One had no mask and the other was not wearing her mask over her mouth and nose. Yet there was a sign at the entrance urging customers to wear a mask. US Department of Veterans Affairs employees must wear masks to protect the public. Why is the postal service different? In fact, as of April 21, 2020 postal employees must follow local and state directives to wear masks according to the USPS website.
Well mailed a package out on January 30th 2020, was supposed to arrive January 5th 2021. Well 43 days later it finally arrived. On multiple attempts tried to follow up on and only spent hours on hold and when speaking with someone never got any information other than being told I would need to file a missing package form and they would follow up on it and still never got any information as to the where abouts of the package or even offered a refund for the fee to have it delivered by the 5th of January maybe I missed understood when the said the 5th maybeshe said 5 weeks not the 5th. Lesson learned if you need something sent in a timely manner go with fedex.
