The staff is very knowledgeable, caring,patient and they make your experience 5 star wether it's buying stamps mailing something out or purchasing a money order they are just very pleasant people and I am very fortunate to have this post office close to my home. Will be happily returning!
Parking is available across the street, workers are fast, even if line looks long it moves fast
Available posting boxes were quite small. Deciding to get bigger boxes from Walmart was a huge relief as I was shipping things with volume. One of the counter staff was really nasty. Wasn't willing to explain further the advantages of the package and additional services offered. Realized later this was the reason most customers were requesting to see other staff and not him.
One of their carriers delivered my package to the wrong address. Went in to file a report and the supervisor said not to file and wait for her to call after she’s checked with the carrier. 4 days later, still no call. I go back, and she’s lost all of my info (actually thinks this is quite funny since she’s giggling along with staff), hasn’t followed through. Says she will call by end of day. Still hasn’t called 2 days later. What a joke. Totally irresponsible and complete disregard for people’s belongings.
I live just down the street from this location and have nothing bad to say about this post office. Yes, if you're driving, parking may be backed up because of the small parking lot but people get in and out of there pretty quickly. If you're impatient, this may not work for you but it's still going to be busy at the other stations anyway so give this Makiki Station a chance. Their counter employees are very helpful and friendly and will try to make mailing your packages very easy for you. 5 star experience, for sure.
