I shipped a pre paid package. The sign stated 50 cents to tape package. I was charged $1.00 instead of 50 cents because I was told the package required more tape. It was a perfectly stable and secure box. I feel it was charged more because I’m African American. If that’s not the reason why. They just got over on me. I would never give them my money again. It’s only an extra 50 cents and fortunately, money is not an issue for me. It’s the principle. To top it off, the man was not that friendly.
I love this place. They are helpful all the time. I hated the poquoson post office where I used to go because of their poor customer service. But Good thing I found this PO. Here they are polite and helpful
This post office is the best place to go. I've been to a handful in the Hampton roads area, and this one is my favorite. The staff here is the absolute nicest and most helpful. Their store is clean. Plus they offer a drive up service. I will go out of my way to go here to avoid going to any other post office. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I understand that many businesses are struggling but it is not nice to deceive customers to increase your sales. I went in on a Saturday to mail a box to my mom and informed the male associate that I wanted to have it sent the cheapest and slowest which he told me it would be $19 and would arrive in Ca next Saturday. I received a call from my mom on Monday, 2 days later saying she received my package and I was surprised. So apparently the guy must have charged me for express shipping without my knowledge. I will watch and monitor any transaction in the future when conducting business and I will never give my business to this place again. As a Criminal Justice professional I despise liars and thieves.
Love this post office! They are very friendly and helpful.
