No complaints about the staff, other than there not being enough of them.nnThe parking lot, lack of available boxes in an area with very limitedncurbside delivery, and 45 minute to 1 hour wait time abhorrent.nnNothing to do with the staff, just a blatant disregard for decency by decision makers.
Packages show up late or not at all. Mailing even with Priority shipping takes well over a week. Never had so many problems. Some of our packages got delivered to the wrong address even though we've been here a while and the post office and drivers know who and where we are
The wait just to pick up a package from a very unenthusiastic employee is like torture. The line is always around the building and to the parking lot. Not to mention they raised their prices on P.O. Boxes to over $50 for 3 months. Trust me if I had regular mail service at my house I’d avoid this place like the plague.
Before we lived in Pahoa it used to be a chore going to the post office, but now we love it! The ladies here amaze me, always super sweet and professional, even after difficult customers give them a hard time! Some of the hardest working people I’ve ever seen, they have gone above and beyond more times than I can count to give me incredible customer service! USPS is incredibly lucky to have this crew, this whole branch deserves fat raises and bonuses!
I have been to hundreds of different post offices around the country and globe. This is by far the least efficient and unfriendly staff around. A package says available for pick up at 11am, you drive an hour its now noon, stand in line for 15 to 45 minutes to get told its not available till after 2pm. So now I either wait two hours or drive an hour back home and back again. Why can't packages be scanned available and actually be available? Everyone else gets that concept. If its not available, don't scan ut in till it is. Common sense. Also, if you try to reason or say your side no matter how calm and professional you are, you will get an attitude back. From other reviews, I am not the only one. They also seem prejudice against certain people. I notice these things. They seem to really hate their job and let their distaste for their work they let it out on customers. Hopefully something will change for the better cause between the staff, parking and lines, it can't get much worse.
