About what you'd expect for a post office in the middle of nowhere mt. View, but packages arrive in a safe and semi-fast manner (as ups has to transport whatever you get there from the main office in Hilo). A note about the Hours which I couldn't correct as there is no note feature: your personal mailbox itself is available at the hours described above ^ however the office itself where you can obtain larger packages is only open from 9 am to 3:30 pm (on the weekdays) and I saw that that information was nowhere and would require calling to find out so hopefully this helps some people out if they don't already know this!

Great little post office with helpful and friendly clerks . The parking is horrible and lots of times it's better to park across the street and take your chances crossing hwy 11.

A package was sent to this post office in Dec. 2015. When my brother went to pick it up he was told there was a break in and that the police had his package as evidence. Also he was told that the police would contact me to check on the contents of the package to see what was stolen. There was never a call from the police. Everything that I sent to my brother was lost. I could not find the tracking number to file a claim because I thought the police had it. I am convinced that there was never a break in and that someone at the post office took home the package that was sent.

Before I came out as transgender, I was called by name and it really felt like a friendly atmosphere. The same good service is provided, but my name is no longer called, and it hurtsud83dude12
