Some packages my mom ordered had the incorrect city/zip code, so instead of ending up in Cambridge (02139) it ended up getting sent here (02130). I called this post office in hopes of getting these 2 packages rerouted before being sent back to sender due to the incorrect address. I was able to get through to someone each time I called and both packages were correctly rerouted to Cambridge after I explained the mistake. Both women I spoke to were all business, and they were professional and nice when I explained the issues. I appreciated their efforts in locating the packages, then filing paperwork to correct the address, and then rerouting them. This is clearly not a typical day-to-day occurrence, but I can say that these 2 post office personnel I spoke to on the phone were very helpful and resolved the issue in a timely manner.
I actually look forward to going to the post office because of this location! I run an online store and regularly ship items out. Thomas loves to chat and always helps me by giving me tips on the best way to mail my packages.
Terrible attention. I called in trying to get information from my local post office (JP) because I'm expecting a package and the tracking info on the usps website is not updated. This was the beginning of the conversation:nn(Me) - Hello, I have a tracking number and ...(the cut me here)n(USPS representative) - Oh, so you have a tracking number and what am I supposed to do?!nnReally? This is not about performing good at your job this is about having the minimal social and civic manners to other human beingsnNever looking forward to interact with them.nnIf this is because their working conditions are not good, they should try to find support to change them within the community not spit at us like this.
This location is not terrible, the problem is the people that work there. If I could them a zero as I rating then I would.My experience on 6/1/20 was horrendous, the hindi man (no name) is rude and unfriendly. I should of asked for his name before I left, but that's his description. I went there wanting to send express mail and I brought a prepaid stamp for 25 dollars. He was telling me the cost of my stamp was only 25 cents, but I had a stamp for 25 dollars. This man clearly doesn't know the numbers before a decimal point are dollar value. Also, he was trying to argue with me about it, which made my experience horrendous. It was very frustrating because I had to send this mail for work. I left and went to the postal office in Dorchester on Adams Street and I had experienced great customer service there.
The line here is always sooooo long. But today the staff helped me receive a package that had a typo in the address, so I love them for that.
