Ordered a package that arrived at the NDC on 27 July. The item was supposed to be delivered by 31 July. Allegedly my package departed the NDC on 31 July. The tracking shows my package has been in transit for six days. For my work I travel a lot and currently made a trip from my residence to near the NDC location and I drove it in two days only driving eight hours a day. The post master from my local post office has been involved in tracking down my package and even she cannot get a return phone call or email from the NDC. She has had to get her supervisor involved. To make this even better I ordered another item from a vendor in the Springfield, MA, area who offered shipping via FEDEX economy on 1 August. That package arrived at my house today.
My brother was an Army Veteran. His cremated remains were labeled with the expensive required labels for “human remains” and mailed as required with expedited two-day delivery to my sister in Maryland on August 7. His cremains were supposed to be delivered by August 11 for a military burial. Five days after mailing them at 10:07 am from Suffield, CT, they were logged in at the Springfield Distribution Center at 8:02 pm August 11, less than 15 miles from where I mailed them from. His cremains are still sitting in Springfield and no one answers the phone. It is so disrespectful to any family, and worse for a military family trying to bury their loved one. I could have bicycled his cremains to Maryland and returned home by now. How can the employees do this to people? It’s inhumane and wrong, especially for a Veteran. No idea when my brother’s cremains will arrive in Maryland for military burial. Disappointed doesn’t begin to express our feelings.
My package has been sitting there since August 11, 2020, today is October 14, 2020. Phone rings and rings, no one ever answers, after 2 minutes of ringing it hangs up on you. Unacceptable!!
Don't bother calling because they don't answer the phone. They don't let you leave a message either. When you go there to try to speak with someone on person, there is no one at the window (I stood there for 25 minutes). When you call your local post office to try to get a direct phone number to anybody that works there they tell you they can't reach that facility either. This place is not customer friendly should be a negative five stars. I've had other people tell me that this is the place where packages go to die. I'm really starting to believe that. my advice would be to use FedEx or another shipping facility.
I'd give it zero stars if I could. I've been waiting 3 days for a package that could've made it to my house and back in 12 hours. This is unbelievable.
