Lets start with the good: Location. In Q4 2020 20% of what I sent never arrived or the contents were gone. When claims are filed through the website, the USPS they just send the claim to the offending site to investigate themselves. As a result nothing is ever resolved and they hurry to close the claim (maybe to impact their metrics, but at this point I seriously doubt USPS has metrics.nnInefficient: The woman doing packages/passports sits idle while the line is long. She should be have crossed functional capabilities especially during peak hours.nnUSPS is the cheapest upfront but when you factor in the inefficiencies and loss of postage paid & products they are the most expensive.
Omg so rude!!! Where do they find these women that have anger issues? They want to argue with their customers. I’m embarrassed for her
Showed up at 4:20 (closing is not until 6). No certified slips available at self help. Stand in 45 minute line. Asked for certified slips. Cashier says they will be unable to process my mail.nnVery easy to avoid by having the self help tables stocked. Would prevent a lot of the line and cashier's having to help customers so much. We know how to fill out an envelope.nnA poor manager is apparent at this location.
20 people in line. Only one teller working. Two other employees are just having a personal conversation. Once I made it to the window the teller was polite and apologized for the wait. She said the other employees weren't trained to work the window. Recession or not, a facility this big (and possibly the only one left downtown that hasn't closed permanently) really needs more than 1 teller.
I was there to apply for our newborn daughter's passport. Having seen the low ratings this post office has, I went to my appointment with low expectations. However, I was very pleasantly surprised - I was being helped by Felice, who was friendly, competent and swift!
