Good post office. Extremely convenient open hours. They are open on Sundays! The building is big and reminiscent of days past. They have multiple self-service stations and several counters for customer service. They have a passport area as well and have some gift boxes and cards. The associate I dealt with was pleasant and helpful. The line wasn't long on Sunday afternoon and it was easy to find. They also have an ATM in case you need cash.
They have evening and weekend hours. Underground customer parking is accessible via Harrison street. Take the elevator or the stairs to the 2nd floor. Lines aren’t as long after 5pm.
If you need a package to be scanned as “accepted” in a timely manner, DO NOT drop it off in the package collection box located in the underground parking garage! I dropped a couple of packages off in this box around 8AM on a Friday and they weren’t scanned until Monday afternoon. This is unacceptable for small e-commerce sellers that rely on timely tracking results for online feedback ratings. Bring packages to the collection box inside on the 2nd floor. Or better yet, stand in line and drop them off with a clerk to get an immediate scan and receipt.nn*UPDATE*nI figured I’d give the drop box in the parking garage one more try to see if maybe I’d experienced a fluke. NOPE! This time I dropped a package off on MONDAY afternoon around 3pm and it was never scanned until FRIDAY night. SOMETHING IS SERIOUSLY WRONG!!! This kind of delay is totally unacceptable.
Long lines. Understaffed. Stay away.
I've been to this post office a few times and each and every time I leave with a smile and a great feeling. The USPS personnel always seem to happy to help everyone in line. Some of the customers are more than rude and totally self involved but those people will never be satisfied. Thank you USPS for always shining light on my day.
