As usual wasn't busy but I was taken care of pretty swiftly.
Trying to find out why a package was not delivered when it shows that it was out for delivery 2 days ago. All i get is an automated system that stated the same information that the website and ebay are showing. And people wonder why we no longer use the postal service
I have never encountered such a bad experience with the United States Post Office service in my life! I am in my mid-60's and grew up in a rural area near Jacksonville as well as 22 years in Scott County, and also spent 2 years near Springfield. We now live in S. Jacksonville, and have lived here for almost 3 years. The service has deteriorated drastically during the past 6 months. We don't receive mail now, generally, until after dark. It has even been as late as 8:00 p.m. And as far as weather? Where has the motto gone about mail being delivered no matter how severe the weather is? Today will mark the 4th day (if it isn't delivered, an we are in doubt that it will!) we have not received any mail. Normally, we always get something. On rare occasions, before this past year, it may be 2 days. Could anyone explain to me what the problem is? We are extremely dissatisfied!
Carriers consistantly don't actually deliver packages and don't leave any notes for me to just pick up my packages at the office. This has happened more than once at different locations I've lived at in Jacksonville, IL.
They are very rude ! Plus they lost quite a few of my packages including a Christmas care package worth about $250-300. It’s hard to raise a family and try to send out your extended families Xmas on budget . So it’s a big loss for us . The postage alone was $30 ! But since I lost the receipt for tracking I’m out everything and my family didn’t get their Christmas. Absolutely an abomination. Can I say again how rude they are ? They act as though it’s your fault they lost your mail. I’ve had to track down several of my packages because they love to deliver my mail to other folks in my neighborhood. And my bills usually end up in other people’s mailboxes as well resulting in late payments until I signed up for text/ email alerts. Very unprofessional and always different times with our mail . One day it’ll come at 10 am the next close to 5-6pm. Not reliable or dependable. They need to fire half of their workers and start fresh .
