Extremely rude employees at this location. I drive to the wakefield one just to avoid one of the women rudeness. Since they don’t have a manager they do whatever they want. It’s a shame to still have them there.

TLDR: Extremely poor customer service, appears to not have a manager, and a specific woman is intentionally mean to customers.nnI saw so many reviews about this same thing, but I felt like I should make another one. I've gone to this post office three times now for mishaps with my mail and questions, and two out of the three I've had a very rude encounter with one of the women there (the third time a different woman was working at the desk who was very kind and helpful). The first time I'd gone to the post office, the woman got very rude and said that she couldn't help me. She eye rolled when I told her that I was transgender as the reason that the first name on the package didn't match the name on my ID. This was not important to the reason I came there (because she mentioned that identification goes by last name instead of first), she just thought to bring it up to add to the string of mean comments. She continued to be rude even though I was trying to be as nice as I could up until I left. The second encounter, I'd lost a package that was supposedly delivered in Melrose (according to tracking) and when I mentioned that it was shipped with UPS (which goes through the USPS post office when delivered to melrose) all she did was raise her voice, interrupted me when I was explaining that it would involve this post office, then gave me a phone number that just redirected me to the UPS number that I said I had already called... UPS had told me to go to the post office for more help beforehand. By the way, I never found the package. I've seen her be rude to other kind people and she is one of the reasons I avoid this post office. An important note in this story is that I'm under the age of 18 (I'm 16), meaning she was doing all of these things to a person who clearly doesn't have a lot of experience with the US post system (which is even more obvious since I ask questions when I'm there).nThe fact that this has happened to multiple people with the same woman, enough for me to see in real life and even find so many negative yelp reviews about it, shows a lot. The point of her job is customer service and she does not do that.

It’s unfortunate that this post office has a particularly rude and mean employee. There are several other reviews mentioning the same and my experience was no different.

Went today to the post office to mail something overnight and this new women who works there is loud and very rude because she thinks the back of the postal form is a receipt I have never seen anything like this next time there has to be a better way of communicating with the customers.

There’s a strange smell in this building - like old, musty death. It’s been like this forever. I think they do that on purpose so customers make sure to get in and out fast before they die themselves.
