Our postal carrier (Cherry Hill Plantation) has left three packages in our driveway by the mailbox in the rain. Needless to say the packages were destroyed. I understand her fear of our dog, but on these occasions the dogs have been in the house and no where outside to bother her. We are going to have to demand payment if any more packages are destroyed for being left out in the rain/weather!
Sometimes the mail is delivered and sometimes not. They post messages on the tracking that they cannot access the delivery location. This makes no sense because DoorDash delivered the same evening and had no issues leaving the item at the front door. I am not certain what the exact problem is, but someone should follow up on the many complaints and remedy the situation. Perhaps Madison, the city needs to think about building another post office location to help with the volume of people and mail coming into the city.
There's major problems with the Madison Post Office. Packages never arrive on time, sometimes not at all. Delivery days change constantly and even then don't show up when they say. We've had multiple packages that just never arrive. We haven't had this issue with anywhere we have lived, but I wish I could only receive packages by UPS because they are actually reliable.
Mail delivery is a joke. On package They lie and say could not find location. UPS doesn’t have a problem
Give them A for effort. They do try to improve.
