The lady at the desk claimed they couldn't take my American Express card when literally it said on the door they take it....... she was just being rude and honestly felt like she was lying. And what made it more trusting is it being in a bad connection area so me trying to transfer money between cards wasn't working out...... this place is honestly the laziest group of people there is
Everyone at this post office is nice, and a bonus is, the know me and my dad by our names; which makes it more special to come to get my mail. Been a customer for years, and will continue my services with them.nnUpdate: 8/6/2020nnI used to love coming here, but lately it seems the workers here don't enjoy their jobs, especially during an pandemic. I have had 2 packages missing, and little to no effort was to really look for them. Don't get me wrong, the employees I've known for years are genuinely friendly and know me by name, but do to the issues with the USPS system now, i have to stop having packages being sent here.
The woman running the Hempstead post office is totally incompetent as well as the carriers!! Put in a change of address effective July 7th, 2016 & am still receiving mail, including a jury duty notice for my husband, as late as July 23, 2016, at the old address. She had to check with her carrier to see if there was something the carrier knew about my mail, that the woman in charge didn't know........ REALLY??
Called and spoke with a Ms.Thomas she was very rude and unrefined. She has absolutely no phone etiquette what so ever.
The delivery seems to be free, it is already several times that they arrive and throw the packages outside
