You will wait at least half an hour no matter what you need to do here. Make sure you bring a phone, book or something to keep you occupied while you wait. Sometimes the clerks are nice and friendly, sometimes they're not.
This post office is the absolute worst. Unfortunately my mail comes through this office and the carriers are illiterate and deliver mail wherever they feel like it. I often don’t get my mail or my packages go missing. The phone just rings when you try to resolve an issue. If you finally get through to someone they pretend to care and never follow up. I once lost a package and it was confirm it was delivered to the wrong place. Reggie with the Ralph McGill post office confirmed this information, told me to file a claim, which I did and then it was denied because he changed the information in the system to reflect that it was delivered to the correct address. I have a voicemail to prove that he confirmed these details but was never able to get my items or my money back.nnI have resorted to changing my address to a relatives house because otherwise I wouldn’t get my mail. For important things like bills I am fortunate to have the option to sign up for paperless.nnThis post office needs to be shut down or they need to clean house and hire all new employees who are actually willing to do their job correctly.
I normally love the USPS, but the operation and management at this location are beyond unacceptable. It is not really set up for customer service, but sometimes folks have to go here and it is so painful. I've witnessed interactions between the manager and other customers, and it's cringe- worthynnThe mailboxes at my apartment complex are broken, so I have had to collect my own mail here for over a month. Sometimes the line takes an hour. Sometimes I have to wait several minutes for someone to come to the window. Today, the manager here said the carrier took all the mail out on his route with him, so I couldn't collect today's mail or my past mail. When I arrived at home, the carrier was there. But he said the manager had lied to me (his words), and he only had today's mail.nnAvoid this place if you can. If you can't, God bless you and good luck?
If you live in the area and this is your local post office, you are better off getting a PO Box at a different location. I’ve had 4 packages lost/delivered due to this facility. Not to mention they are incredibly rude and unprofessional.
It's fine enough for what it is - in that it's a place to pick up a package. But help may not be particularly friendly or helpful, though this likely depends on the person and how their day was going, I suppose. It's moderately hard to find - it's not particularly well marked to figure out where to enter the building for service. And the service is literally just drop off or pickup of a package that's being held. When it says window service only, it isn't inherently clear what that means. There are no postage supplies available for purchase, which evidently means you literally cannot purchase postage even if that's the only bit you need. It's not just that postage supplies (like, a box, or an envelope, or tape) aren't available for purchase, postage itself cannot be purchased here.
