East Troy Postal Service saved the day! I had ordered a plumbing valve that was due to arrive the day before the plumber was scheduled to install. The online tracking system was not giving me a clear picture of where the part was or when it would arrive and I needed to know if I had to reschedule the plumber. After I explained my dilemma to our Postal carrier, she and another lady went out of their way to track & deliver the “Missing” package within 15 minutes of my inquiry!!! I usually get my money orders from here to pay my rent every month. They lost my April rent check. Tried to track it online, did not work. They make you pay a $6 fee to have an inquiry sent to find your money order. Why do I have to pay to track something you all lost? I tried calling the 800 number on my receipt. I have now been on hold for 1hr and 20 minuets. This is someone’s money they are playing with for them to live. How could you operate like that?

The customer at the front counter would not stop chit chatting and the postal worker did nothing to move the line along. Also, and much more irritating, was another postal worker standing 5 feet away by the door asking everyone who just got done at the counter to answer a satisfaction survey. This makes customers extremely uncomfortable, especially since the survey is being conducted within earshot of other customers as well as the postal worker we just encountered. If a live survey is necessary, the postal lady should be standing outside the main office door out by the lobby to conduct it. This is the second time this has happened while I was at this location and it makes me want to drive to the next post office which is 10 miles away just to avoid it.nI would also like to mention that ever since the Mukwonogo office merged with East Troy, the service has gone downhill. We used to have 2 long time employees that worked the office, one male and one female, who were always very professional and courteous. They are no longer working here but have been replaced by a mostly rude group of people that always seems to be changing. One lady in particular, the one who was conducting both live surveys, is abrasive and unpleasant on a regular basis. It is too bad as this used to be a nice post office to frequent. I would like to note that I am a very regular customer who comes in for face to face business on a weekly basis.nUPDATE: They have not repeated the in person survey and the customer service has improved. Still miss the original crew but am satisfied with service as of late. HATE that they are closed from 1:30pm-2:30pm.nUPDATE: The live survey is back. You must realize people are almost never going to give an honest negative review in person.

Friendly workers doing the best they can with the few hours allowed by USPS. It’s not their fault that more people use online services now resulting in downsizing of staff. The few problems I’ve had I could have at any post office and are usually not from anything the person at the counter did.
