For the most part this is a great PO. They are open on Sundays and can service passports. The passport service is most astute an helpful. They also have extended hours until 6 :00 PM. The postal reps have been efficient and politennI only had one awful experience which occurred a few years back. The place was crowded and when the customer in front of me was finished I walked up to the service desk. Unfortunately the postal woman had not waved me forward.nnShe went berserk. She ranted and walked in a circle and would not wait on me. She said I came forward before I was called. It was a tad scary. I wasn't sure what to do. It was the only unpleasant time.
Best location in DC! Great customer service and very knowledgeable. Much better service than the Cleveland Park location where they reject your Amazon return packages/boxes just because it has Amazon logos on it (using prepaid labels). Will always come back here! ud83dude01
I've always had good experiences at this location. The staff have always been friendly and even helpful (!) in my experience. I know a lot of people get grumpy at the post office because the services can be a bit confusing and sometimes have odd restrictions or policies. But the staff here really do try to do their best with it.nnOn the other hand AVOID the Cleveland Park post office: the staff there are unhelpful at best and frequently rude or downright nasty. I've never seen someone in a public-facing profession behave as badly as the Cleveland Park staff. Plus this location is open for part of Sunday!
I have sent EDDM mailings this summer, in July and September, each time one thousand pieces delivered at this post office. I highly suspect they were never delivered, my friends who live in these routes never received any of them. This is not the first time that I have my doubts, I think the post office just pitched the flyers. One should not use this delivery system unless you use another Post office? Very disappointing, this is extremely dishonest.
Lady I spoke to on the day prior asled of it were possible to leave my package at the store instead of go out for delivery she said yes she would make a note of that. I get there this morning and ofcourse they put it on the truck for delivery this is a package that's already been a week late and was something I needed for today and because of my buildings weird pick up package hrs I won't be able to get it till tomorrow now
