It's pretty weird to write a review for USPS but of all the post offices I've gone to in the various states/cities that I've lived, this place is absolutely the worst for the sole reason of the lady that works there (the very strange and short hours are also not ideal but are obviously manageable once you know about them) She is extremely rude and just acts like she doesn't want to be there and acts like she doesn't want you to be there either. Although it's strange that the lights are never on (perhaps to deter potential customers?), the location is convenient and the mail that I've sent from there has been delivered without issue. Just be prepared for a ridiculously unnecessary rude customer experience.
Although this post office is usually understaffed and a mess, the frontline employee who has worked here for years is always pleasant and works hard despite the things that are out of her control. We have a great report. She was NOT there on October 13th, 2020 and the young lady that was, was extremely rude and had a terrible attitude. As a business owners who spends thousands of dollars shipping at this location a year, I hope this is only temporary replacement, and that the regular attendant returns soon.
I called this post office after my packages were picked up, sent here and didn't move. The woman on the phone was busy chatting with her co-worker, yelling at him and telling him all sorts of crazy stuff while I was sitting there waiting to be helped. Her demeanor on the phone was not much better with me, since she basically berated me for calling and asking where my package was. Nearly 10 days later, my packages finally left DC and the woman told me that I should have used a different service to deliver packages. This branch serves 20002 and could not be more awful.
This post office has got to be the worse Post Office i have ever experience. Unlike MOST post offices in DC the operational hrs of THIS post office are the lowest of any post office in the area (6.5 hrs/day), and Unlike MOST post offices in DC it closes completely in the middle of the day for “lunch” then reopens for 90 mins and closes again, and always only one teller, so no matter when you go the lines are LONG!nWorse Post Office ever, and the employees act like they dont want you there PERIOD!
I love this post office, the customer service is consistently extraordinary! The associate is always super pleasant and extremely helpful! :)
