Long line ... but the lady who served me was extremely polite and professional! Well worth the wait!
While not the flashiest post office I've been to, it was a fine experience. I was anxious to go there after seeing the bad reviews on Google. When i went, around 11:45 on a Wednesday, there was no line. I was helped right away by a young clerk. I was in and out in 5 minutes. This is all while the pandemic is going on, they have taken proper precautions to keep staff and customers safe. I will be returning when i have another package to mail. Also, i assume their lack of renovation is due to a low budget, not a lack of care.
The P.O. attendant here is always on her own, needs more staff and more supplies, but she does a great job by herself. Might be a wait, but she takes good care of you.
They don’t have a mail drop for larger packages so you can only drop prepaid packages at the mail drop window up front (they have to open it for you). I regularly drop off prepaid packages that I don’t need a receipt for. Every time I do without fail people in line or even the postal workers themselves scold me and say I should wait in line. Wait in line for what?! I’m literally just using this stop as a mailbox for packages that won’t fit in the mailbox. It already has postage and I don’t need a receipt. There is ZERO reason for anyone just dropping a package off to wait in line and waste their time and the postal workers’ time and make the line even longer. I’m trying to help you do less work, not more. Y’all need to make package drop off policy clear to everyone that works here! Or install a bigger mail drop so folks can walk up and drop packages themselves like every other post office around here. You can keep yelling at me but no one in their right mind is gonna wait in a long a** line just to use a mailbox. I encourage all customers to do the same so we can keep the line moving for folks actually buying postage!n(And then if you bring a bunch of packages to get postage they’ll yell at you and say you should do that online too! lolllll This place makes no sense).
One employee has taken Twenty five minutes to issue a money order with eight people waiting in line.
