Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Our concerns were that upon pickup and drop off, we found their counter closed both times with a posted note saying that National or Alamo counter could assist us. Not a big deal, but this was at 3pm and 10 am. Plus we saw the Enterprise employee showing up for work in the morning, but he couldn't get in behind the counter. So he sat down and waited. However, the process with National went smoothly. But...upon awaiting close by we heard very foul language coming from the National counter! Also when we dropped off the rental the sign by road was confusing. It said rental drop off for National or Alamo turn here. So we kept going looking for the return lot of Enterprise. But ended having to come back to that same and ONLY return lot. Then the signs to return are VERY confusing as where exactly you are to park the vehicle. Also, there was a sign to drop your keys in a box outside, but if you MISSED the other sign on the side of that box that said only during certain hours, you would drop your keys in the box prematurly. Then to top it off, good thing it wasn't any colder or raining, or snowing, because you have to walk outside very far to get back to the service counters inside! Not a good lasting impression!!! Please fix these faults to improve your service and our vacation/business trip.

I called ahead to reserve my rental car. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car was ready, clean and in good shape. The return was easy as I parked it at the nearby airport and they came and picked it up.

Waited an hour to pick up the car. The man behind the counter gave me the keys and said it was outside. Didn't show me the car, didn't do a walk-around, gas was not filled up, the car smell of smoke and it was dirty. I even had to ask what kind of vehicle I was looking for when I went outside. When I went to return the unit, I stood at the counter for several minutes waiting for someone to appear. I could hear several people in the back room talking and laughing hysterically. I returned a phone call to a Michael that works there and he never called me back. I've been a loyal customer for decades of Enterprise/National. By far the worst experience ever.

I was told on the phone that I could not get the car I had reserved months ago because it was not available. So on the day of pick up I told the guy behind the counter what the guy from reservations told me and, they gave me the luxury car I reserved anyway. I was disappointed Enterprise did not have their own people working at the airport, I had to go to the other rental companies desk for assistance for pick up and dropping off. All in all everything worked out fine, I got the car I asked for, we had a great time on vacation, but I may try another company for rental needs next time, just for the fact Enterprise had nobody there.

Absolutely the worst car rental experience in my life. An hour ride by a family member to rent car at South Bend airport. Was told no cars. Left airport for hour ride back to hotel. Called customer service and was told that there were plenty of cars to rent at that location. Was given a confirmation number and told to turn around and go back. Back at airport, Griffin said that he told us earlier that there wasn’t any cars. With confirmation number in hand, got ahold of Sasha at corporate office, who told Griffin that there were plenty of cars in that lot per her screen, and to rent us a car. Griffin proceeds to get rude to Sasha at corporate and tell her that there are cars down for oil changes etc. Sasha proceeds to tell Griffin that he should have them marked out of service, as that IS part of his job. Griffin snaps to my husband and I that who do we think we are to just walk in to rent a car, when all of these other people waiting for cars reserved theirs a month ago, you should’ve rented awhile ago. I couldn’t hold my composure any longer. We were in town for a funeral of a very close family member due to an accident. How in the hell do you schedule a month in advance for something like that. After the 3 hour back and forth ordeal, being made to feel like garbage, Griffin rented us a car. Why did it have to come to that? The sheer rudeness of that man Griffin was down right unwarranted. Thank you enterprise rent a car - Griffin - for making one of the worst weeks of my life even more unbearable.
