I received a refueling charge after returning the car full. Fortunately, I saw the charge and called to inquire. The charge is to be reversed, but I feel this may be a regular practice for Budget, knowing that some people may not notice or question the additional charge in the first place.

The vehicle was comfortable and performed without a hitch. The time for me to pick up the vehicle was 20 minutes late, but only because the gentleman behind the counter had to clean and sanitize the vehicle himself. Was very satisfied with the rental.

First of all I had to wait 45 minutes because my flight was early in my reservation was at 2 p.m. and the lady would not let me rent my car until then. Then after I return my car I come to find out I have charges of $892.70. I paid for this car through Priceline. I called Budget Rental the corporate office and they said the car had not yet been returned. I return the car on October 30th at 4:30 a m and since no one was at the desk put the key and paperwork in the lock box that was out in the parking lot. Also my car had a paper plate from a corporation in South Carolina that had expired. I have never rented a car that did not have a real license plate. To this date my charges are still pending on my card because they say I have not returned the car. I flew out of South Bend that morning at 6 a.m. the car was in the parking lot and their return lot. When I first met at the car the lady said they were disorganized because the manager was on vacation. That is no excuse. Very disappointed with budget and will not rent there again. Still waiting for my pending charges to be taken off.

Vehicle was as indicated in reservation; however, the interior was very soiled and the trunk was extremely dirty. Counter representative was not helpful in explaining how to adjust the seat from the lowest and furthest back position. Upgrade was not provided even though I presented the appropriate code from Amtrak.

When I arrived at 9:00, per my reservation time, the vehicle was not ready and needed to be cleaned. When the employee returned and gave me my keys, I was expecting to find a clean vehicle. Instead- it was just a car wash. Inside there were food crumbs on every seat, grass and fast food wrappers in the hatchback section, change on the passenger floor, drink spills in the cup holders, and receipts and trash in the middle console. I came back and told the employee that it was not cleaned and that I didn’t want to take this vehicle in light of Covid. I said that there wasn’t even a card or hang tag that said how the cars at Budget are being disinfected.... he insisted that he “cleaned” it. And he told me that I could not have another vehicle because he cleaned this one. I am not sure what your standards of clean are, but what I described is not mine. I am not happy at all with the service I received.
