Avis Car Rental

No issues here. They didn't have my size so I got a free upgrade. In and out in minutes.

The rental office was permanently closed. Had to call Avis, and they did not know the location was closed. Alternate location ran out of cars and 2 hours later gave me a defective Jeep. I had to drive to the airport to get a decent car. Avis is not handling this transition well at all. I have been a regular for over 30 years, but am considering your competition.

staff was helpful and great to work with when picking up car. This is a great spot for those who live or work downtown Portland. Great staff, easy to pick up and drop off. Only downside is sometimes car might be on 10th floor or you have to drop off car on 10th floor parking lot if first floor is full. If you are in a super hurry try to allow some extra time. Staff makes effort to have you car ready on first floor but sometimes timing or car does not work out.

Avis customer service is unhelpful and lacks understanding of the companies mistakes. I had to go to Google to leave a review indicating the location I was sent to was closed. I spoke with two representatives who basically didn't care the location was closed. Avis incorrectly changed my dropoff location which customer service at corporate level and drop off location was rude when I tried to explain they had made the change in my rental. I have been using Avis for at least 5 years. You have lost my business and I will never recommend your company.
