I had a very good experience with Fort Wayne Budget. The car I received was in great condition, fully serviced and more than adequate for the job. The trip took longer than I expected and I had to extend the deadline twice. Each time I called, it was handled with complete ease and courtesy.
First the vehicle I rented smelled like smoke which I am very sensitive to and secondly the vehicle had the maintenance light on when I picked it up and it seemed to run pretty poorly for a newer vehicle. Did not get up to speeds very quickly when trying to merge on to the highway and It acted really strange when using the cruise controls also. I was very concerned driving this vehicle afraid it was going to break down on me at anytime while driving it. Over all I am very disappointed with this rental it was my first time using budget and probably will be my last.
Just letting you know I was not happy with the condition of the car. Everything was clean inside, but windows were dirty and front of the car was thick with bugs! It did not make a great first impression with Budget!It was parked head to head with another car so I did not til I stopped less than a mile down the road. I was embarassed to go anywhere else without washing it so I did. I am game to try budget again as it was a better price but I think Budget could make that little effort. Thanks!
I’ve rented from them twice, both times were great, no problems, I even over slept and turned my rental in late and it wasn’t a problem! Both times I enjoyed the cars I had to choose from! If you need a rental, go to budget, prices were great, cheaper then other places!
