Avis Car Rental

Breanna, the customer service rep, was very cordial and answered all of my questions. She thoroughly checked the car to verify that it was properly cleaned. Also, it did not take long for me to get the car.

I made my rental reservation on avis.com. During that process I called and with the assistance of a customer service representative over the phone completed that booking. I noticed that the reservation did not come with unlimited mileage. I was told that was due to the location. I asked customer service if they could call that local office and help me with getting unlimited mileage. I was told that was not possible but I could have the reservation modified when I went to pick up the vehicle. I was told the location could deal with the mileage situation when I got there. I prepaid my vehicle and went to the location to pick up the car. Well the counter agent and I tried to get someone in customer service to help modify the reservation or make it possible to have the unlimited mileage as what I was told was incorrect. My pickup location offers unlimited mileage on ALL vehicles. We were screamed at and hung up on. Needless to say this ordeal and the horrendous customer experience has soured my love for this company. As a preferred plus customer who has been with Avis for almost 9 years, I am deeply disappointed.

The representative was funny, friendly and polite. They took all precautions due to Covid-19.

The rental car was filthy on the inside and on the out side. I had to take it back because it was so very nasty. I also ran it through the car wash just to get the bugs off of the windshield, which cost me $10.00 more on top of what I paid to rent the vehicle. The experience was such an inconvenience that it made me late for my meeting. I received an email for Avis assuring me that all of their vehicles would be clean and sanitized because of COVID-19. I have rented from this location every weekend since November 2019- up until April 2020, I am very upset because this incident placed me and my family in harm’s way...
