Sixt Rent A Car

Booked my rental car several months ago along with my flight. Southwest changed my flight time, read that again, Southwest changed my flight times. I called to change my pickup and drop off times and was told I would not get the $18 a day rate from when I originally booked, I would get a $32 a day rate. When I explained the situation, the customer service rep just didn’t care. As I asked why am I being charged more for something out of my control, it was felt that the rep just didn’t have time to deal with me. Canceled my rental and went to Alamo, where I’ve never had a bad experience. I will never attempt to use Sixt company services as their customer service is horrible.

I have been a loyal National Car Rental customernfor the past 30 years. I’m retired and now pay for my own car rentals instead of my employer paying for it. Price, quality of the cars, and cleanliness are my hot buttons now. Sixt checked all the boxes on my first experience renting with them. I am renting another car from them if they have availability.

The city of Chicago placed a travel ban on Indiana residents the day before our scheduled trip to Denver. Of the numerous reservations that had to be canceled Sixt was the ONLY company that refused to issue a refund. They did offer to allow us to reschedule the rental but since we were traveling for a funeral I don't know that we will attempt to go out there again anytime soon. Thanks Sixt for you compassion and empathy with my sadness, stress, and now anger. Renter beware.

Airline changed our flights 3 different times and Sixt accommodated the changes for us each time without additional fees. Staff very courteous and available. When we took possession of the car there was a staff member there who documented some minor damage that was not noted previously. Very friendly people. Pickup and return were very fast. Read previous negative comments, but that sure was not my experience. Will use again.

Only recently started using Sixt but I have to say their proces are reasonable and their service is awesome. The reps are very helpful and expedite you through the process. I would recommend them to anyone.
